This website is dedicated to keeping the community informed about the environmental cleanup activities and redevelopment at the Spa Road Property in Annapolis, Maryland. The City of Annapolis, in coordination with the Maryland Department of the Environment (MDE) Voluntary Cleanup Program (VCP), is actively working to identify a remedy for the Weems Whalen field and former Department of Public Works (DPW) facility located at 932, 935, and 937 Spa Road (the Site) in the City of Annapolis. Please note the eastern side of the Site has been subdivided in support of the development. The fueling station and storage lots south of the fueling station now operate from the address of 937 Spa Road. This Site has the potential to be included in the Choice Neighborhood Initiative (CNI) revitalization plan as developed by the Housing Authority of the City of Annapolis (HACA). More information about the CNI plan can be found here: Eastport CNI.
This website will be used to post project updates throughout the site investigation and cleanup process. If you have any questions, concerns, or would like more information, please complete the Contact form below.
